In defense of Coffee

I’m a coffee “fan” (addict may be a better word, but let’s not split hairs), and I found this article to be pretty good. I’m also a life-long vegetarian and have done a good bit of self-study into nutrition and health. It’s uncommon in a piece like this, but I like how the author actually gives the point and counterpoint to the arguments for drinking coffee. I realize coffee isn’t optimally healthy, but I also realize that it does have some benefits. My consumption level is generally one mug 4-6 mornings a week, which I believe counts as “in moderation.”

coffee drinking has a far worse reputation than it deserves; the benefits are real, and in moderation, it’s actually a good idea to get some coffee in your system. [From How to Defend Your Coffee Habit - Lifehack.org]
