The average Atlanta resident with a job drives 66 miles every day. In fact, people here drive so much that if you added up every commute and every trip to a store or soccer practice on just one day, you’d get a number that’s larger than the distance between the Earth and the sun.

  1. You mean I’m under average at 60m round trip? Unless it’s absolutely necessary I don’t leave once I’m home from work. I’m sure that will change as the munchkin grows up but SNAP that’s a lot of mileage.

    Also, factor in that about half of those miles are driven in SUVs and trucks… no wonder you can’t see downtown for the smog.
