Do we need a Baby on Board sign for cubicals now?

Like the author of the article, while I think it’s great that there are companies that allow this sort of thing (bringing your baby to work with you until they can crawl), I realize I’m not my most productive when the kids are around. Granted, my kids are way past the crawling stage, and with a largely sleeping baby I could envision getting some work done, but still.

When I’m with my son, I want to be with my son, not trying to type emails with one hand. When I’m working, I want to focus on work, not on whether a 2 a.m. wake-up the night before means I should try to put the baby down for an earlier nap.

I’ve had a few days that were initially going to be “work from home with a sick kid” days that ended up being “sick days” because I just couldn’t get enough done in a day to justify getting paid to do it. Likewise this might tie into that being fully “there” when you’re with the kids too. Anybody else think this would work for them?
